DIRECTV trains representatives across the country on how to sell their products. They also provide training materials to external sales partners such as Verizon and Qwest. They were using PowerPoint, but found that it wasn't compelling enough to hold an audience's attention. They wanted to include clips of their television commercials, but PowerPoint would often show a big red "X" instead of a video. DIRECTV's training staff needed a presentation system that was both reliable and flexible enough to meet the demands of their taxing training schedule.
The Sales Graphics Design Studio built quizzes to engage sales teams during training. These interactive modules allowed reps to play with different combinations of offerings to learn how best to work with current and prospective customers. By subsequently deploying CustomShow® presentation software to over 100 members of their national sales team, DIRECTV ensured that both internal and external reps were using the latest sales and training tools.
